APRIL Signals Early Spring Planting! 

            Peas:    Weekly plantings began on April 3, 

            Beans:   April 17-24

            Zucchini & Summer squash:  April 20

            Mixed greens (lettuce):   April 16

            Sweet corn:  April 9, 14, 16, 27

Our planting was on schedule, but as Farming goes, on May 1 we had a 23° freeze! 

Three acres of corn were re-planted!

We also irrigated our grapes for eight hours to prevent crop loss.  And, row covers were placed on all strawberries to protect  the buds!  

 

It's been a scramble and we've lost a lot of sleep, but we are still on schedule for early sweet corn on the 4th of July and every thing else is back on track.

MAY -  Rosedale starts to bottling white wines, and continues to plant more crops almost daily. 

JUNE -  Even with the weather being uncooperative, we still are on target with all crops growing.

 

JULY -  OUR SWEET CORN IS AVAILABLE!!  Just in time for the Fourth!   Enjoyjpg
